Your accommodations are at the Washington Square Hotel, located in the heart of Greenwich Village. This historic hotel is but a short stroll from the ethnic delights of Little Italy and Chinatown. The 165 charming guestrooms offer comfortable lodging for savvy travelers and the Art Deco-style lobby café is a great spot for a cup of coffee or people watching. Your cooking lesson takes place at the Institute of Culinary Education, where your class choices include Great New York Restaurants' Signature Dishes, Essentials of Provencal Cooking, or Pasta Workshop. You will also be treated to a tasting and historical walking tour of the Village, discovering hidden treasures and local spots few visitors ever find, along with a tasting tour of Chinatown.



Thursday

Afternoon arrival in New York City and check in at Washington Square Hotel. Tonight you will enjoy a hands-on cooking lesson featuring seasonal menus. Dinner follows.

Friday

Today enjoy a three hour walking and tasting tour of Greenwich Village. You'll visit 15 unique food establishments, munching along the way on Italian prosciutto bread, fresh filled cannolis, cheeses, olives, authentic Turkish food, and more. You'll also discover hidden courtyards and gardens, the old Italian neighborhood, and learn about the neighborhood's history.



Saturday

Today you will take a walking-tasting tour of the Chelsea food market.


Sunday

Enjoy a leisurely jazz brunch at North Square restaurant, a cozy, intimate bistro with views of Washington Square. New York Magazine calls the restaurant "a real find for the neighborhood."
Morning check out and departure.
