Just outside Florence on the banks of the Arno River is the Villa la Massa, winner of numerous prestigious awards. Built in the 16th century, this elegant five-star hotel was once a nobleman's villa. Now it is an oasis of luxury and comfort in the heart of Tuscany.
Throughout the spring,
summer, and fall Villa la Massa offers a cooking program, featuring
the talents of chef Andrea Quagliarella. Chef Andrea's passion for
cooking began when he was 11 and was honed during his tenure at
sister hotel Villa d'Este. After five years as executive chef at
Villa la Massa he has earned a worldwide reputation for fine Tuscan
cuisine. He will lead cooking lessons featuring some of the specialties
at Il Verrocchio.
Afternoon arrival on your own at Villa la Massa, grand award winner of the 2000 Hideaway report, named one of the best 25 small hotels of the world by Conde Nast Traveler in 2001 and a member of Relais and Chateaux since 2000.
