Just outside Arezzo you will find Villa I Bossi, an authentic Tuscan villa built in the medieval ages. Surrounded by age-old pine trees and an Italianate garden, this exquisite estate harks to another time. It is filled with treasures that have been collected for hundreds of years…paintings, tapestries, and fine antique furniture. The villa's owners are direct descendants of the family who constructed I Bossi in 1028. The Albergotti's invite you to relive a piece of history, even if for only a few days, as you learn the secrets of Tuscan cuisine.

Hands-on cooking lessons will be taught by the Marchesa Albergotti in the cozy villa kitchen. You'll learn to prepare all the essential components of a Tuscan meal: appetizers and bread, soups, home-made pasta, meats and vegetables, olive oil and its uses, and desserts. Excursions to nearby vineyards, hill towns, Siena and Cortona are also included.



Day One

Afternoon arrival at Villa I Bossi. Settle into your accommodations in the villa's former orangerie, Residenza Gragnone. Tonight enjoy a typical Tuscan meal with the Alborgotti family in the villa's elegant dining room.

Day Two

Morning cooking lesson with the Marchesa Albergotti. After the lesson, enjoy lunch featuring the dishes you prepared.

In the afternoon, tour Chianti Classico the famous wine region of Tuscany. Enjoy wine tastings and dinner in the countryside..

Day Three

Morning cooking lesson followed by lunch.

Afternoon excursion to the beautiful hilltown of Cortona where you will experience an olive oil tasting and dinner at one of the city's best restaurants..

Day Four

Morning cooking lesson followed by lunch. Afternoon visit to Arezzo with dinner at a traditional countryside osteria.

Day Five

Morning visit to Siena with lunch in one of its most famous restaurants.

Afternoon cooking lesson followed by dinner.

 

Day Six

Today is yours to relax by the pool, walk, or do some last minute shopping on your own.

Morning check out.
