There are still places in Southern France where it’s possible
to experience idyllic Provence… where the drone of cicadas keep
the steady beat of country life; where the scent of lavender greets
you as you wander through the local market; where old men still play
petanque in the village square. This is a Provence that invites discovery;
that beckons the traveler to spend some time tasting, savoring, drinking
it all in..
We invite you to do that at a very lovely little mas, in a village
outside of Aix. The Mas du Luberon is a place where you can hang your
hat; learn to cook; and most of all experience Provence. Settled on
the vestige of a coaching inn situated halfway between Marseille and
Manosque, on the historic route linking the sea with the mountains,
today the Mas du Luberon is a bed and breakfast offering comfort,
warmth and Provencal style. This is also where Chef Christophe Gay
conducts intimate, hands-on cooking lessons teaching students how
to prepare traditional Provencal cuisine. Chef Christophe is a native
of Southwestern France and has worked in a variety of top French restaurants.
He is particularly fond of the preparation of country vegetables and
will teach you how to prepare a full meal based on the freshest ingredients.
The Mas du Luberon is ideally located near Aix and the charming villages
of the Luberon. The gorges du Verdon is a short drive away; and wine
roads stretch all around. This is the perfect base for an unforgettable
Provencal holiday.
Afternoon arrival on your own at Mas du Luberon. Tonight enjoy
Chef Christophe’s culinary creations with a “Tasting and
gastronomic menu” at the restaurant.
After breakfast you will join Chef Christophe in the morning
