On this trip you will learn to prepare authentic recipes in hands-on cooking lessons with our friendly Segovian chef. We will try dishes and pastries whose presentation and ingredients have remained the same for over 300 years. You will also discover the classical wines of the Rivera del Duero, visiting beautiful and ancient wine cellars and tasting some of Spain's most sophisticated and celebrated wines.

When you are not wine tasting or cooking, you will be able to explore castles, Roman and medieval monuments and picturesque villages set in a stunning landscape.
Pick up at Madrid airport or meeting point at the agreed time and transfer to a 4 star small hotel situated at a charming medieval village in the province of Segovia.
Briefing of the trip over a welcome gourmet dinner accompanied by excellent local wines.
After a full breakfast you will meet your instructor and chef, Jose in the hotel kitchen. He will teach you traditional recipes from Segovia creatively combined with innovative dishes that will delight you with the latest trends in flavors, colors and tastes. Delicious! Lunch will follow.
In the afternoon we will visit the city of Segovia. Here you will see the spectacular Roman aqueduct (the best preserved in the world), the beautiful cathedral and the Alcázar, a castle that seems to have come out of a story book.
Dinner is on your own. May we suggest a gastronomic discovery in an “Asador”, a traditional restaurant specializing in roasted lamb and suckling pig cooked in a gigantic wood fire oven. You'll love it.
Today we are invited to visit the best wineries in Ribera and to enjoy unique tutored tastings. We will also stop at Peñafiel, home of kings and nobles, to visit its castle which stands on a hill overlooking the Duero Then its on to the wine museum and house museum of La Ribera where the everyday life of locals in the 19th century is recreated.
Enjoy a traditional Castilian dinner, slow cooked in huge wooden oven. Afterwards stroll around the beautiful Plaza del Coso where bullfighting festivals have been held since the Middle Ages and where you can view balconies displaying lovely wooden arabesques.
Back at the hotel, evening free for a walk thorough the vineyards, reading or just relaxing. Dinner on your own.
After a full breakfast we'll take short excursion through small villages with Roman churches and refreshing fountains. You'll enter the cobblestone village of Pedraza through an arch in its walls, passing through noble houses to reach its nice medieval castle from which we will enjoy exceptional sights of the valley
Then its' time for your second cooking class - Today our friendly chef will surprise us with other Segovian dishes or if you prefer you may request any other typical Spanish recipe you may wish to learn how to cook to surprise your friends back home. Our last delicious lunch will follow.
